Have you heard the saying “start with why”.
It was coined by author and speaker Simon Sinek to describe the importance of connecting with your ideal customers or clients by communicating why you do what you do.
Are you clear on your why?
For a long time I struggled to define mine.
As a person who's worked as a self-employed business owner for nearly 20 years, it’s only been in the last few years that I’ve truly defined my ‘why’. Experience has given me clarity.
Making a difference to peoples’ businesses and, therefore, their lives is what really drives me.
I love helping my clients to bring their business ideas to life. Making sure they’re positioned in the right light so they can create a business that supports their goals. A business that gives them the opportunity to create and live a life that gives them freedom, fulfillment, and joy.
Especially fellow creative and accomplished craftspeople. Those who are also passionate about being recognized for excellence in their chosen fields.
They are the builders, the bakers, the landscapers, and wine makers.
It's really important to me that the clients I work with hold similar values to my own. For me, it's craftsmanship, creativity, accomplishment, and community.
The combination of clients I’ve worked with, our shared values, and focus on excellence, has resulted in the creation of award-winning websites for my clients and me being recognised as Rocketspark’s Design Partner of the Year 2021.
The truth is, I’m on this business journey just like you. Experiencing the highs, lows, and everything in between. I’d like to say it makes me more empathetic and understanding, because I truly get it - when you put your heart and soul into your business and you want and need it to succeed.
And I know that branding, design, and website projects can cause a lot of angst. So my aim is to take that angst away and make the process of working together a smooth and enjoyable process.
Until next time,
P.S. If you’d like help with your next brand and website project, I’d love to chat! Tell me about your project here.
